How did egyptians make their tools?

Wouldn't be difficult to make tools from only wood, rope, and some stone? Well believe it or not Egyptians made all their tools with those materials. They made the rope from discusting dead grass, they also made shoes from dead grass, but thats another story. Anyways, the rope held some of the tools together like......the shadoof. Ok what is the deal with that name?!? I mean come on its like calling whoever found it a doof! Ok maybe not but still! Back to the subject. Nails were made of stone that they found in the minning feild. They got the wood from trees along the Nile or got it with a trade.

What are some tools that are used in farming?

Have you ever wondered how egpytians cut down their crops? Well.....guess what?!? They used tools!! They used different kinds of tools like winnowing scoops. Which is like a pitch fork. I can so see an egyptian saying "Grab your pitch forks! Its time to cut crops!" Anyways, another tool is called a Mattock. A mattock is like pick ax. Egyptians also had flint-bladed sickles and plows. Plows were pulled by any animal they had!! I'm not kidding!! Even pigs pulled a plow! Sickles a tool also used to cut down crops. You guys know what a sickle is. Right? Well if you don't know what it is, its the thing that the Grim Reeper always carries around. Until next time i post! Peace!

How does a shadoof work?

Bobby: How does a shadoof work?

Zane: Well a shadoof works by propping a long stick on like a large table made of other long sticks. The long stick thats on the table like thing has a weight on one end and a bucket tied to the other end. They remove the weight and the bucket goes into the Nile and then they pull the bucket filled with water to drink. does that answer your question bobby?

Bobby: Yeah it does!
